ROLE
Senior Graphic and Presentation Designer at Omnicom Media
For Touche’s 30th anniversary, I designed a cohesive event experience across banners, menus, and environmental visuals. Blending an 80s-inspired aesthetic with modern design elements, I created a bold and nostalgic visual direction that celebrated the brand’s legacy.
The moodboard provided by the client was a blend of futuristic and retro with a heavy influence of Montreal’s music scene. From the moodboard, I noted key elements that needed to be reinforced through the design language: linear light strokes, 3D futuristic shapes, emphasis on light and form and heavy contrast.
CHALLENGE
The goal was to create something that felt celebratory, but still refined, balancing the energy of a party with the polish and credibility of an established creative agency. The system needed to flex across multiple applications, from invitations and social assets to environmental and spatial design, while staying cohesive throughout.
PROCESS
From there, I developed the branding concept, retaining Touché’s signature blue as a foundation. The typography and its treatment drew inspiration from 80s disco posters, featuring a glass-like finish with strong contrasts of light and dark. Supporting graphic elements were introduced to create movement and enhance the overall composition.
THE OUTCOME
The design system created a cohesive experience that felt both intimate to the brand and iconic. The result was a visually unified celebration that honoured Touché’s past while reinforcing its continued presence as a culturally significant agency.
The banners were woven throughout the space to highlight and activate different interactive experiences for guests.
The final TV screen designs that would cycle throughout the event.
Bar and food menus were created as printed pieces that carried the event branding through to the guest experience.
